The 1075 glossmeter has 20 years experience with over 200 instruments installed on paper machines measuring on-line gloss. The glossmeter has dual beam optics with automatic gain control to provide accurate measurement, stable performance with minimum maintenance. Measurements agree with values obtained under TAPPI T-480.

A long-life, tungsten-halogen lamp (approx. 4,000 hours) is mounted in an easily interchangeable cartridge. The sample (web surface) is located 9.53 mm (0.375 inches) from the measurement window. Sensor shipped with a gloss calibration standard. Output is 4-20 milliamp

GLOSSMETERS
The RLS series of online glossmeters uses new LED technology for long lasting illuminator life. The instruments use special geometry that does not require daily calibration. We certify compliance with NIST. The instrument comes complete with software and is available in many gloss angles. The instrument operates in the Microsoft Windows operating platform. Tolerances can be set for individual gloss angles and up to 32,000 readings can be averaged.
